intro to TTRPGs

Need to hire a professional game master for corporate or private events? Perhaps you have always been curious about Tabletop Roleplaying games and want to give it a try. I run games for beginners and more experienced players.

Introduction to Tabletop Games

Roleplaying games provide a safe environment for people to explore ideas and situations for fun and personal development. Because these games are cooperative, you will build strong bonds with other players that last much longer than the game. Also these games help develop creativity, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. All that and more, plus we all have a good time.

The way it works is simple. Players, pick or make their own characters and the Game Master (that’s me) provides a setting and situation for those characters to interact with. We use rules carefully designed for telling the sort of story we want to tell and to keep the game fun and fair for everyone.

The Rules

Rule’s make the games fun. I pledge to always be inclusive, no matter who you are, where you come from, or what you do, you will be respected and reasonably accommodated in the game and by myself personally. The only rule I have for players is that you make the same commitment to respect and accommodate each other.

Each game has its own rules. I primarily use core rules from Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons, Mörk Borg, and Year Zero. These system are all easy to learn and have their own strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the game you want to play I may suggest using a specific ruleset for it.

Currently I am working on some quick reference sheets that concisely explain the rules for the various systems I run in. These will introduce the rules enough for anyone to get started, beyond that, playing the game is the best teacher.
